I read a lot of "mature subject matter" as a teen! It gave me the world as seen by adults. I'm loving the reasons you enjoyed "Gone With the Wind", you left the negative aspects of the book aside and focussed on the positive of a characters spirit and strength. I too was touched by your story of your mother and the Marianne Williamson book and I am glad that you decided to read the book even though your mother had lost interest.
