A great day...

...to curl up with a great book!

Or even two great books! Don't forget: Souvenir hits shelves today too. If you're so inclined, please post a review on Amazon.com or other sites.

Thanks everybody for all your support and for sharing my excitement! And P.S. you did it! My friend M is writing! Thanks for all your comments for her too!

Congratulations! What a great picture of you. (Does your mother-in-law hand-dye socks for you too?)

Love the photo. Congratulation!!
Can't wait to get my copy. And yes the cover is beautiful.

Congratulations! I ordered my copies of your book and Souvenir on Amazon last night. Hope they don't take too long to send them. :-)

Just went to look at my order and when I clicked out to the book page I noticed it says, "only three left in stock, order soon." Hmm! That sounds promising for you. Guess it depends on how many they ordered to begin with, but looks great anyway.

Whoo-hoo! Enjoy. I'm going to be dropping in on some local bookstores this Thursday and I'll let you know where I see it.

I'm going to go get my copy TODAY! Can't wait.

Love the socks, but *really* love the coffee mug. :)

May there be many, many, many, many sales!!!

Carleen!! I'm off to get mine today. OMAH is bypassing every unread novel I own waiting on my night stand. There has been much moaning and complaining from On Chesil Beach, Tree of Smoke, and The Shack, but I have informed them that, in this house, release dates count for nothing.

I am so happy for you and can't wait for the release party.

Carleen, Have you seen the nice plug for OMAH in 5280 Magazine? K.

HURRAY CARLEEN!

(And hurray, colorful socks!)

I'm just home between activities, but wanted you to know I saw OMAH on the B&N featured paperback front tables and on the shelf (I faced it out for even more exposure). AND in Target, where Patry's book is sharing the display with us, too. Aren't readers in for a treat?

I took pictures and will email you tomorrow!

Congratulations, Ms. Novelist!

Josephine, Thanks for dropping by! And thanks for the compliment on the book cover: I do love it!

Shauna, Thanks! Not the mother-in-law: I got these at Vitamin Cottage, a local health store. Hubby has a pair too.

Lafreya, One of my very first blog readers, Thanks for sticking with me!!! Really means a lot!

Julie, My editor says Amazon orders are usually actually relatively small, but they ordered a good amount of OMAH, so I'm thrilled they're almost out! My blog friends have really come through for me!

Judy, You're a dear! The original Ballantine Babe! Thanks so much for all your advice and support!

Gina, Thanks so much! Isn't that mug cute? A friend got it for me. Don't know if you can tell but on the side where the cat is sleeping it says "decatf" and on the other side it says "cattfeinated" and the cats all buzzed.

Rebecca, I hope your other books don't try to beat up OMAH! :) Thanks for moving me up on the list!

Amy, Actually I went out with a friend for breakfast and then over to Tattered Cover where they are being very nice to me with their display.

Ms. Karen, Thanks! Yes I have seen the 5280, but wait till you guys see Essence. It's a WOWZER!

Larramie, Thanks for the bouquet of daisies! Your avatar always brings a smile!!

Therese, Wow, that's cool. The Target I went to didn't have it out yet, but you could tell they were in the midst of changing over--lots of empty spaces. Yay, that Patry's book is with ours!!! Have fun at your book party tonight! Congratulations to you too, Ms. Novelist!

Hey, folks! I bought a copy of OMAH today and was fortunate enough to have the author with me to sign. It's B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L and a wonderful read. Kudos to you Carleen for making this happen for yourself. You Rock! M

Well look at your gorgeous in those happnin socks! And oh my, that looks like fabulous reading material!!! Just got word today from amazon.ca that my copy is delayed until the week of the 26th....

Soo.....are you glad that the final decision was this cover?!? It is so eye-catching and breathtaking -- especially in the dead of winter!!!

'scuse me, but did you order this deep freeze chill just so that book cover would jump off the shelves?!? LOL!!

I'll need to hit the magazine rack now so I can have a Carleen Brice scrapbook! And -- I am so glad that M is writing. And of all things to notice -- I want that chair! It reclines and has the mission style arms to hold hot tea...the perfect reading chair! Can't wait for the party next week. Maybe I'll get to meet "Dirk Dickson" -- if indeed he is a real person ;)

Carleen Brice said...

Ha! Lisa, Dirk bought me that chair. :)
