Leaping

Happy Leap Year Day! Here's a little from my book launch party on Tuesday...the results of my taking a leap of faith about 6 years ago. And what results! It was a grand time!

So the thing about being the guest of honor is that you don't really take photos. But lots of other folks did, so as soon as I get photos emailed, I'll be posting them. In the meantime.... One half of the crowd, taken right before I was introduced. Sold more than 150 books!

Signing books for Diane and Marleen.

With my flowers Leslie brought for me.

Don't know what the heck was going on here, but that is one glam photo!

Today, the Rocky Mountain News gave Orange Mint and Honey an A-!

What a huge crowd! You must be walking on clouds. Congratulations on the good turnout and selling so many books.

I was waiting for you to post on this. Congratulations on the A- review. I just commented on it. I was nice, but jeeze, the reviewer could have gotten Shay's age right -- that's ok, I believe I was very polite when I corrected the mistake in my comment.

I have more pictures and now that Karen has her excellent post out on the wonderful event and your pictures are up, I'll download mine and get them posted at my place.

Congratulations on a magical debut!

Wow, that night must have been a dream come true! I miss the Tattered Cover so much every time you mention it. (Sniff)

The look in that last photo--
very "authorly," I believe. I'll have to file that away to use some day. ;-)

I'm finally reading my very own copy of Orange Mint and Honey. Yay!

Shauna, I'm still spaced out. That's for sure!

Lisa, Quite a few of the reviews have had mistakes, but as long as they get the title right, it's all good! I'm just glad the Rocky reviewed it!

Gina, My family let me sign their books over the next couple of days, so I probably signed about 200 books in 3 days. Not hard to do at all. :)

Julie, You know the Cherry Creek store closed (they opened a new location on East Colfax). This was at the LoDo TC, which is just as wonderful!

Lafreya, Thank you!!!
