On Friday, January 22, 2010 several members of the Haitian community stood in support of the Hearts for Haiti Fundraiser and The Lambi Fund of Haiti at the Colorado State Capitol. On this day, state lawmakers passed the Joint House Resolution regarding the tragic earthquakes in Haiti. In part, the Resolution urges Coloradans to provide immediate and long term donations and support to humanitarian organizations who aid with relief for the victims in Haiti.
The Lambi Fund of Haiti in association with Be R.E.A.L. is promoting the Hearts for Haiti Fundraiser “Haiti Cherie”. In addition to striving to raise vital funds for Haiti we seek to embody Haitian culture through music, food, and dance. It is essential that we join the international community in helping to rebuild the grief-stricken country while celebrating the life, culture, and beauty of the Haitian people.
